The Sand Scorpions group consists of over 490 families dedicated to preserving off road areas and promoting off road events.  We are based in Moses Lake, Washington and our members live primarily in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

  We started as three families out to have some fun on January 1st 1990 with our 1st Annual Christmas Tree Bon Fire in the Moses Lake Sand Dunes. The 1st rule we adopted was to have fun that the whole family could enjoy; We have no rules.

  Our events include, but are not limited to: Our annual Christmas Tree Bon Fire and Party, Sand Drags, Night Time Poker Runs, Family Camp Outs, Cross Country Races, Mud Bogs, Team Mud Bogs, Easter Egg Hunts, Stadium Races, Australian Pursuit Races, Fireworks Sales, Off Road Show-N-Shine, Off Road Swap Meets, Demo Derbies, Off Road Fun Runs, Sand Dune Clean Up, BMX, Rock climbs, Mountain Excursions, and most of all we fight to keep all off road areas open.

  We have a 18 ft enclosed race / party trailer equipped with a Race America Drag Race Timing System complete with a Professional Drag Racing Tree capable of printing out race results with reaction times, speed, red light, and win information. It is equipped with a built in kitchen and plenty of storage for our stuff. We also have a computer system, P.A. system, inverter system and a generator all built in. We are very proud of this piece of equipment and continually work to improve upon our investment.

  Membership into our club is not complicated or costly.  We charge a one time membership fee of $5.00 for your family.   With your membership fee you will receive two Sand Scorpion stickers for your ride.  If you are interested in becoming a member contact Rich Archer by e-mail or call 509-765-9370.
